Report: More girls in juvenile justice system. Wed, Nov 1. 2006
In the juvenile system about 20 Percent of young girls are detained in the system. At https://advanced-writer.com/ there are more detailed materials that explain the situation. The report which was relased by the Citzen's Commitee for children of New York also found that the number of girls under the age of sixteen are entering the juvenile system. The numbers doubled between 1990 and 2005.This is because most teen age girls are pressure into doing things that they do not want to do. For example the pressure to be accepted by their peers, gang initiations and the teens who are abandoned by their families and are left alone to fend for themselves. Today teens mostly are sterotyped because they assume every sixteen girl is having sex and their parents believe these statics and they are not talking to their children about sex.

30 kids at the met??? Thu, Oct 19. 2006
Ok, so I just need to get this off my chest. The coolest thing I've heard in 5 years is that 20 of you went to the museum together, and then bumped into another 10 of you! Man, security must have been concerned!Anyway, I got this picture and wanted to post it. You guys really are pretty cool.
I'm just sorry I didn't have time to catch everyone's story, because form the sounds of it (almost getting kicked out, getting lost in the middle of the museum, then outside in the neighborhood) they seem to be some pretty cool stories. So, if want some (more) extra credit, then take a minute and post a comment here telling me more about it. I'll give you 1 ... no 2 points on your SECOND marking period report card if you do. And if you weren't part of that group, but still went, you can still get the credit.

What's all this then? Thu, Oct 19. 2006
Hello Juniors,
Ok so the discussion board didn't work for you. To tell the truth, it didn't work for me either. Ok, so it really didn't work at all. Big deal.
So I've got this new idea. I'm hoping it'll all work out better than the last one, because I can't stay up late at nights working anymore!
The blog has different categories, just like the discussion board. There's a category for homework, one for current events, and I've added one for classwork and another for extra credit. All you do is click the category that you need to work off of (for some of you it's classwork), and read the post.
Usually, the assignemnt will be in the post that I leave you. Whenever you're ready to actually do the assignment, you leave a comment on my post (it's a big link, says comment; you can't miss it).
Use your school account info. to log in (remember WITHOUT the @bcacad.net).
If you're confused after reading that, then I suggest you go check out some homework assignments that people left (click the homework category). You'll see that the assignment is what I posted, and the students posted their work as a comment. For current events, you may either respond to my post or just create your own.
If you have an account on Flickr.com, you'll be able to import a photo from yoru album and place it on the post. Not educationally great, but heck; it's the least I can do for you.
Thanks a lot for putting up with geeky side. You kids really are pretty kind.
